HARVEY WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY

India; Agra, Bandhavgarh, Pench and Delhi, 2011: The People of India, 2011

I enjoyed taking pictures of Indian people because they were so kind and friendly. For the most part I was there to take pictures of wildlife in India, but I did manage to acquire some photos of people when they gave me their permission to do so. I mostly to photos of Indian people at the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal was great. Read about that day in my blog.

These two teenage girls were posing as part of a large family group. Their expressions were too good for me to pass up, so I took a few pictures of just them. I love the colours of the clothing in this group. I wish I could find them again, so I could send them this picture.

These women enjoyed the attention of having their picture taken. They look great in their saris. I really enjoyed photographing them.

After asking if I could photograph this young lady she obliged. In India you see so many people bathing and doing laundry in the rivers that I really wanted at least one picture as a keepsake.

This child was enjoying a day at the Taj Mahal with her little brother and her parents. After giving us permission to photograph them, this little ham got right into posing like a Ballywood Star.

This Indian family (and friends) pose for a few photographs in front of the mosque east of the Taj Mahal. They demonstrate their peaceful "Namastae" pose for us as we photograph them.
